Relationships are complicated, but prepping for dates doesn’t have to be. To start, apply foundation and then follow her steps for a romantic look you can wear on any date this season.

1. Using your (clean) pointer finger, apply a soft, pinky-peach pearlescent shadow, like the top right shade in the mark. Touch & Glow Shimmer Cream Cube Palette in “Coral,” from the inner corner of your eyelid to the outer corner and up to the crease. Then, apply a slightly darker pearlescent peach shade (model Lucie Pustova used the shade directly below the first one in the same palette) in the crease for definition. “When you’re working in a single hue all over your face, you want some variation to keep it interesting,” O’Neill says. “You can either mix it up with different finishes or incorporate different shades of the same tone.”

2. Trace a shimmery brown liquid liner, like mark. On the Edge Hook Up Liquid Eyeliner in “Medusa,” along your top lash line from the inner corner to the outer corner of your eyelid. Prop your pinky finger on your cheekbone to steady your hand and gradually increase the thickness of the line as you go (it should be about a 0.25-inch thick at the widest part). Fill in any negative space with the liner.

3. Starting at the outer corner of the lower lash line, draw toward the inner corner of your eye, staying as close to the lash line as possible but avoiding the water line. Then, while the liner is still wet, use your ring finger or a cotton swab to smudge it slightly for a soft, diffused effect.

4. Coat your top and bottom lashes with two coats of brown mascara, like mark. Lash Act Build and Define Mascara in “Brown,” wiggling the brush back and forth from the base to the ends to create fullness and definition.

5. Using a blush brush, dust a bronze pearlescent shade, like one from the mark. Touch & Glow Shimmer Cream Cube Palette in “Coral,” along the hollows of your cheekbones (suck your cheeks in to find the hollows easily). Then, smile to make the apples of your cheeks more pronounced and apply a peachy shade from the same palette onto them, sweeping out toward your temples for a luminous, sun-kissed glow.

6. Layer a peachy-pink gloss, like mark. Glow Baby Glow Hook Up Lip Gloss in “Pretty Femme,” over your lips, and then tap your pointer finger along the outline of your mouth where gloss can sometimes collect to blend it all in.
